She traveled to Cape Cod during summers and visited cousins who were older and creative. Patricia Baird Greene is author of Sacred Garden along with other published works. Ben Allison played the role as “Oakley’s Boy” in the movie Cold Mountain. Her Baird and Vance families are old North Carolina families with a rich history of artist. Her paintings hang in Lynn’s home along with a picture of her.

Subsequent workshops include Weekend with the Masters in California, one year in Monterey and another in San Diego, and Fontaine Fourches France.
